Overview and Mission
Led by our Music Director, Mary Lou Keefe, as well as numerous gifted vocalists and musicians, the music programs at our church are cherished components of our weekly services.
The following is the third verse of a hymn written in 1998 by a dear friend, Marian Turner, to the tune of "O Worship the King". The words of the verse express everything about our church music and this is in memory and honor of Marian, who passed away in 2010...
“The organ resounds, and voices are raised,
The hand bells peal forth, a melody of praise
With trumpet and flute and recorder and chimes
To praise God in music as in the psalmists times”
- To present music at worship services that uses a blend of voice and instruments to inspire and enhance the spoken ministerial word
- To present music that appeals to all generations, on the one hand fresh and creative, and on the other staying within the traditional modes, at all times unique to our church
- To present music of the highest quality with liberal use of various combinations of instruments and voices as needed.
- To enable all choir members to reach their fullest potential
