Our Junior and Senior Youth Fellowship Programs

Junior Youth Fellowship

Our  Junior Youth Fellowship is for grades 6-8.  This group is led in church school by Mr. and Mrs. Bunnell.  The Bunnells have fun, interactive lessons for the kids each week.  They also work on various mission projects throughout the school year.

This group also has a fellowship event led by Mrs. LeGeyt or parents monthly. Anyone interested in leading an activity please contact Mrs. LeGeyt. Check the calendar for upcoming events!

Senior Youth Fellowship

Even though the Senior Youth Fellowship (grades 9-12) is still in need of permanent advisors, this group has some exciting things happening!  Much of the focus for this group has been mission work and the fund raising for those events.

SUMMER 2010 MISSION TRIP BOOKED!

We will go to Heifer International’s Overlook Farm Learning Center in Rutland, MA from July 19th to July 23rd. I hope you all received the recent mailing. The mission of Overlook Farm’s Summer Action Program is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth.  Our group will become empowered to help bring about change. We will participate in activities that will promote team-building, cooperation, and communication.  We will gain a better understanding of world hunger and poverty; their causes and possible solutions.  We will learn first-hand about Heifer’s 12 Cornerstones of sustainable development as we work on service projects with the Heifer staff, spend a night in their Global Village and participate in a variety of educational activities.

"We will help around the farm with daily chores and caring for the animals.  The service projects could include painting, fence repair, barn-cleaning and helping to maintain the Global Village."

"In the Global Village there are international sites that represent the countries that Heifer serves. While there, you will eat food and experience the living conditions that exist today in those places."

"We will sleep in 2 platform tents with 8 bunks in each tent.  There is a modern bath house with hot showers and bathroom nearby.  Electricity is available.  All the meals will be provided with much of their own farm fresh food.  There will be other groups participating in the program."

Click HERE to visit the Heifer website!  And please contact Mrs. LeGeyt at ce@cantoncenterchurch.org or 693-4581 for more information.  Forms are available on the SYF board across from the church office.

MONTHLY FELLOWSHIP MEETINGS every third Sunday at 10 A.M. in the Corner Room with Mr. Koplar.

Upcoming Fund Raisers we need your help with are Munson’s Easter Candy, Heifer Animal Shares and a Bake Sale!
