Summer 2011 SYF Mission Trip

Philadelphia, PA

July 24, 2011-July 29, 2011

 All present 8^th-12^th graders are invited to attend this year’s SYF Mission Trip.  We will serve in a variety of ways throughout our time there.   The trip will be organized by YouthWorks and they partner with local organizations and programs to meet the basic needs of people in the area.  We will not know until we get there what jobs need doing. Examples of the service opportunities include:

 Children’s Programs
Elderly Centers
Soup Kitchens/Homeless Shelters
Thrift Stores

 We will stay at a local church, community center or school.  See the sample schedule on the back of this page.  There will be other groups from around the country there at the same time.A $50 deposit with permission slip is due by January 30^th.   Spaces are limited and on first come first serve basis.
