WELCOME & ANNOUNCEMENTS                                                             Steve Byko

Shelter Me (Michael Joncas); singers Jerry Alonzy, Judy Robinson, Linda McCallister, Mary Lou Keefe

Holy One who is in everything,
life and spirit of all beings,
may we who are distracted by a thousand things
now turn our hearts to the one thing
we live on:
your love, your care, your presence with us.
Help us to feel it and trust it,
to live inside it and bear witness to it,
so that when the world sees us,
it sees you.
This we ask as disciples of Christ,
as we pray in the way he has taught us:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,
for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

HYMN                 “My Shepherd, You Supply My Need (Chalice Hymnal)
Singers Jerry Alonzy, Judy Robinson, Linda McCallister, Mary Lou Keefe, and Ali Hager

          My shepherd, you supply my need, most holy is your name;
in pastures fresh you make me feed, beside the living stream.
You bring my wand’ring spirit back when I forsake your ways;
You lead me for your mercy’s sake, in paths of truth and grace.

          When through the shades of death I walk, your presence is my stay;
One word of your supporting breath drives all my fears away.
Your hand, in sight of all my foes, does still my table spread;
My cup with blessings overflows, your oil anoints my head.

          Your sure provisions, Gracious God, attend me all my days;
O may your house be my abode, and all my work be praise.
Here would I find a settled rest, while others go and come;
No more a stranger, nor a guest, but like a child at home.
