WELCOME & ANNOUNCEMENTS
HYMN All Beautiful the March of Days
All beautiful the march of days, as seasons come and go;
The hand that shaped the rose has formed the crystal of the snow,
Has sent the silver frost of heav’n, the flowing waters sealed,
And laid a silent loveliness on hill and wood and field.
O’er brilliant fields of sparkling snow the radiant morns unfold;
The solemn splendors of the night burn brightly through the cold.
Life mounts in every pulsing vein, love deepens ‘round the hearth,
And clearer sounds the angel hymn, “Good will to all on earth.”
O you from whose unfathomed law the year in beauty flows,
Yourself the splendid vision seen in crystal and in rose,
The passing days with grace declare, and passing nights proclaim,
In ever-changing words of light, the wonder of your name.
GATHERING PRAYER & THE LORD’S PRAYER
God of all creation and all beginnings,
we pray that we will see your love and your grace
in each new day, and in each new step we take –
in a new task undertaken,
a new reconciliation offered or received,
a new insight gained,
a new commitment made,
the thousand ways we keep beginning again.
Guide us in the newness that life gives us,
that we might welcome all that means to help us grow.
In Christ’s name and spirit we pray, as we also say together:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom
come, thy will be done, on earth as it is heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine
is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

HYMN Be Now My Vision
Be now my vision, O God of my heart;
nothing surpasses the love you impart.
You my best thought, by day or by night,
waking or sleeping, your presence my light.
Riches I heed not, nor life’s empty praise,
You my inheritance now and always;
You and you only are first in my heart,
Great God, my treasure, may we never part.
Sovereign of heaven, my victory won,
May I reach heaven’s joys, O bright heaven’s Sun,
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my vision, O ruler of all.
